Zambrero's First Grade Wrap up- Round 10

In round 10 of the Zambrero’s A grade competition, Teachers West looked to bounce back after their first loss of the season taking on Burdekin in the early game at Mike Carney Toyota Park. In the later game at Hugh St -Charters Towers, chasing their maiden victory, took on Ross River Redskins in a battle to keep their finals hopes alive while North Ward after back to back wins in previous weeks looked to unsettle Brothers at their first home game of the year to cement their spot in the top 4. 

 

Zambrero's First Grade Wrap up- Round 9

In round 9 of the Zambrero’s A grade competition, Teachers west hosted their first home game at Warrina Park against an improving Brothers side keen to flaw Teachers undefeated run. Charters Towers, chasing their maiden victory, travelled to Casalegno Field to face the Burdekin in their second meeting while North Ward, on the verge of back to back wins, faced Ross River in the lone game at Mike Carney Toyota Park for a top 4 spot.

Zambrero's First Grade wrap up- Round 8

A triple header took place at Mike Carney Toyota Park on the weekend as all three 1st Grade matches were played at Hugh St for the first time this year. After four losses on the trot the North Ward Old Boys were looking to win their first against the ever-improving Charters Tower Bulls who are hunting for their first win in 1st grade this season. Meanwhile Ross River took on Brothers looking to make an improvement from last week after suffering a heavy loss to the defending premiers. Still looking to blemish Teachers Wests undefeated record for the season, Burdekin showed up ready to play against the Bulldogs. 

A1 Locations & Consulting - Junior Brolgas teams named for QLD Junior State Champs

Last Sundays Junior trials were a roaring success with over 180 junior players trialling on the day. Players were vying for spots in the four teams travelling to Brisbane for the QLD Junior Rugby State Championships in the upcoming School holiday break. The teams selected will now train hard on Sunday afternoons with only six sessions remaining after the original trial date was postponed due to Tropical Cyclone Debbie back in April. The State Titles will be hosted by Albany Creek GPS Junior Rugby Club in North Brisbane with the teams travelling to the South East via bus for the three day tournament. The tour is a rite of passage for Rugby talent in Townsville, with the Junior Brolgas travelling south to State Tournaments for over 25 years. Rookies2Reds - Term 2 Holiday Clinic

The Townsville and District Rugby Union are excited to announce that they will be running their second Rookies2Reds Holiday Clinics for the up and coming school holidays. After a positive response from both parents and children, from the first Holiday clinics. It was decided upon that the TDRU would run 2 more clinics, in the term 2 holidays.
