WELL HUNG GLASS AND ALUMINIUM 1ST GRADE COMPETITION WRAP UP

 

 

Round 9 of this years Well Hung Glass and Aluminium 1st Grade competition saw some thrilling Rugby and skills on display as teams looked to gain the upper hand and find form before the half way point of the season. In the first game at Mike Carney Toyota Park, Teachers West took on a fired up North Ward side. Next up we saw JCU take on the LARC’s and finally at Ignatius Park, Brothers looked to get a win in front of their home crowd against a tough Charters Towers side. NORTH QUEENSLAND OPEN SCHOOLBOYS

 

Congratulations to all of the boys who were selected in the years Under 18 North Queensland Open Schoolboys side to represent the region down in Sunnybank (Brisbane). This weekend will see the commencement of the second year of the Teenage Girls competition. This year there are a total of 14 teams nominated across three age groups:

WELL HUNG GLASS AND ALUMINIUM 1st GRADE COMPETITION WRAP UP

On Wednesday night the 1st grade action kicked off at Mike Carney Toyota Park. After coming off a win against JCU in round 7, Brothers were set to face all time rivals Teachers West who were fresh off the bye and keen to play. Charters Towers welcomed North Ward to town in their clash and the last game of the weekend saw The Burdekin host JCU in Ayr.

Round 7 of the Well Hung Glass and Aluminium saw three midweek epic matches take place around the grounds with competition leaders Teachers West had the bye and the tussle for a place in the top 4 continued. First game of the week was an all Country affair with Charters Towers playing host to the Burdekin. Next up was an eager North Ward side, searching for their next win of the season at home against an Army side looking to bounce back from a defeat the week before.
