Holcim Senior A Grade Week 10

As the midway point of the season came to fruition close games and upsets were on offer as a shake up in the competition meant plenty going forward into the Bye week. Ross River Redskins played host to the Top of the Table Teachers West outfit, Burdekin travelled to Ignatius Park Oval to take on Brothers and North Ward Old Boys and Western Suburbs met at Mike Carney Toyota Park.

2016 Townsville Brolgas Presentation Night

On Saturday night the TDRU had their Senior Townsville Brolgas presentation. The presentation capped off another successful year for The Brolgas in which all teams went undefeated. With 14 Players selected in both the Under 19 and Senior North Queensland teams respectively it shows that Townsville is certainly in a good spot with regards to the quality of Rugby being played. Development Cup 2016

What a fantastic day today as over 200 Primary School Students took part in our annual Development Cup! 16 teams across two divisions competed throughout the day in some great rugby action. Well done to everyone involved, including of course the Teachers and Parents who make it possible. Townsville Secondary School Rugby 2016

Schoolboys Rugby is well under way for this season with Under 13, 14, 15 and Opens action in full flight. The competition runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and is a great way for students to represent their school playing the game we love! Parents and friends are encouraged to come down ad watch Townsvilles Schoolboy Stars in action from 3:45pm free of charge! Holcim Senior A Grade Week 9

Week 9 of The Holcim Townsville A Grade competition saw plenty of movement in the points standings, with one team extending their lead over the rest of the field, with gaps being closed down the ladder, in what will become an interesting fight for position as we start to near playoffs. There was action all over the region as Burdekin hosted Teachers West at Casalegno Field on Friday night, Western Suburbs playing their first home game of the season against Brothers while North Ward Old Boys and Ross River Redskins clashed at Mike Carney Toyota Park.
