2016 Junior Brolgas Teams Named

The Junior Brolgas Trials were held on Sunday with over 150 players participating and competing for a spot in the 4 representative teams. The quality of the players coming up through the ranks is outstanding and it is great to see so many enthusiatic kids wanting to take their rugby to the next level. Junior Brolgas Coaches Announced for State Championships

The 2016 Brolgas Coaches have been named for the Junior State Championships, to be held on the Gold Coast from the 1st - 3rd of July. There will be 4 age groups competing in the Championships with Brolgas in the Under 12's, Under 13's, Under 14's and Under 16's represented. Trials are being held THIS Sunday at Mike Carney Toyota Park from 3pm-5pm, so come down and watch the next batch of Townsville talent coming up through the ranks! Holcim Senior A Grade Week 5

Leads extended and history created as the first round of The Holcim Senior A Grade Competition wrapped up last weekend. North Ward Old Boys looked to get their first win against an eager Western Suburbs outfit who were in the same boat with zero points on the table while Teachers West looked to make it a perfect round when they faced Ross River Redskins, who were coming on the back of a massive win the week prior, at Mike Carney Toyota Park. Brothers and Burdekin met at Casalegno Field, where one team would push clear of the other, as only 1 point separated them 4 weeks in.

Junior Brolgas Player Nominations

A reminder that Player Nominations are open for the 2016 Junior Brolgas teams. Nominations for the trials, to be held at Mike Carney Toyota Park THIS Sunday from 3pm - 5pm are due on the 22nd of April. Please see your club coach for information on how to nominate

Holcim Senior A Grade Week 4

The Holcim Senior A Grade competition heated up last weekend with movement in the Standings and match ups to boot. Brothers played Western Suburbs on Friday Night at Mike Carney Toyota Park, while the unbeaten teams Teachers West and Burdekin battled it out on Saturday in the afternoon with North Ward Old Boys and Ross River Redskins clashing in the last game of the day.
